Yippee…… Now Back in Full Training!

It was a tough winter, my recovery management from the Memphis Marathon was seriously suspect. In short, I did not take enough time off post race to allow my body to fully recover from the stress of my Memphis run. The result was a succession of niggling injuries and, finally, a serious one which cost me 6 weeks of missed training, losing half of February and all of March. I had to endure the frustration of watching runners prepare for Go St Louis from my apartment window and that was torture.

However, a lesson learned for next time. I have now been running again for five weeks and things are beginning to click. My weekly mileage is now back above 50 miles per week and I am looking forward to full fitness and racing again.
